Reflection on shoe sculpture in process

I think that I have worked efficiently in class, so my shoe is almost done. I also think that the quality of my shoe is pretty good. I never really ran into any problems making my shoe. I am pretty much done and just finishing it up with small details. The only challenge I have had so far are the little letters on the shoe. Overall I think my shoe is working out well.

I think you have really represented your shoe well; it looks very similar to the original, which was one of the hardest goals of the project. The color was done well and was much different from most of the other projects in class because most of your shoe was white which you made with papier-mâché. The proportion is impressive because it is so accurate. The shape is very slender and long just like a soccer cleat. The texture of your shoe is also original because of the papier-mâché it feels much like a real soccer cleat. The most interesting part of the shoe is the spikes because they join with the shoe so well. The spikes must have been difficult to make and attach to you shoe, which makes the piece very impressive. I would have made the shoe a little bit more flexible to make it feel more realistic, but other than that I would not change a thing. This piece is impressive and looks very good, great work.
